HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR GRAD PORTRAITS
Sure, you can just show up, throw on a robe and your grad photos will come out fine, But if you prepare a bit beforehand, your photos will come out so much better.
1-2 Weeks in Advance
GET A HAIRCUT
Book hair cut at least a week before the shoot.
CRISP WHITE SHIRT
Find or buy a crisp, new white shirt. Men should find a tie to wear.
DO YOUR NAILS
Your hands will show in some of the poses. Make sure your nails are neatly trimmed or wear freshly applied nail polish.
SLEEP WELL THE NIGHT BEFORE
Get a good night’s sleep the night before. We want you with a fresh face and sparkly eyes, not droopy-eyed and yawning.
If you had a sleepless night the night before, call us to re-book. There is no penalty for this.
Day of the Portrait Session
For men, a clean shave is a must. Razor stubble or a bad shave can’t be corrected with digital retouching. For men with beards, make sure it’s combed and neatly trimmed.
For women, makeup looks best. It gives a smooth, polished look to the photos that you just can't add in Photoshop. If you don't know how to do your own, either get a friend to do it or get it professionally done.
Eat a nice big breakfast before you come down to the studio. Fruit, cereal, yogourt, a big cup of coffee-- go for it! We want you to arrive in a great mood with lots of energy for your photo shoot.
GET READY TO HAVE FUN
Getting your photo taken at our studio is fun. Really it is. You'll see when you get here.
